Interviewing Customers No. 2

1.  I think this is a massive opportunity.  It seems as though everyone I ask loves the idea, and asks me questions about it after.  Interviewing people has definitely made me more inspired.
2.  I followed the same approach as last time where I only approached people who were familiar with Gainesville night life.  This approach seems to be working well.
3.  I asked why it was their favorite night and then incorporated that answer into my next question which was "If there was a promotional company that made every night like your favorite night would that be something that intrigued you".
4.  Videos posted below
5.  I think that there are more ideas to add to my company.  I see that people enjoy having a lot of people out, drink specials, and more lady's nights.
6.  Im becoming more relaxed when I interview which seems as though it helps the interviewee answer more genuinely.
    1.  Be relaxed
    2.  Engage in small talk prior
    3.  Try to make them laugh so that they feel comfortable

  1. Hi Hunter,

Great to hear that the interviews have gotten easier for you. One of the biggest aspects of entrepreneurship involve doing research and speaking with customers, so you can really never get enough practice. With some more time you can definitely flesh your idea out more but I think it will help if you try to include an accurate description of your business idea with each iteration of this assignment.

Great job! Please feel free to checkout my blog when you have the time.

  2. That's awesome that the interviews have been so helpful for you in developing your idea. It's nice that people are being receptive towards new ideas and ways to improve Gainesville night life, because there are always things that could be approved in that sense. Your three ways to approach interviews better is also very helpful and applicable, small talk is always helpful I've found as well. 3. To start with the only negative, I dont like small talk whether on the giving or receiving end of it, so keep in mind that people all have their little quirks to try and read before engaging in anything. Other than that the whole thing sounds good and im happy to see this is something you have a deep set interest in.

  4. Hello Hunter. I think your opportunity is unique because I would have never even thought of such an opportunity. As for the videos, I think you found the right cusomters who would benefit from your opportunity. Its great to see that you are more comfortable with interviewing people. Unifortunately from my experience, I encountered quite a handful of people who didn't want to be interviewed. 5. I definitively am intrigued with the concept of your idea. Its great that you came up with an idea that really seems to interest you, a lot of people seem to have just picked an idea to get it done but you took something you enjoy and are trying to make it better. Only criticism is to maybe get a little more diversity with the people you are interviewing. They all seemed to be part of the same age/gender/race, not that that is bad if that is who you are targeting but it might be good to get some more diverse opinions, might spark an idea you would have not thought of to make it better. Cant wait to see where this goes! good luck!
